I know what it's like to feel stuck!
For years, I believed I was doing everything right...eating healthy, exercising, and monitoring my calorie intake but the scale just wouldn’t budge. Then, when I entered perimenopause, everything shifted. My midsection expanded, my clothes grew tighter, and suddenly,15 pounds seemed to appear overnight.
I remember staring in the mirror, wondering, “What happened to my body?” I then began hiding it with oversized shirts and loose pants, even avoiding undressing in front of my husband. It was confusing and frustrating, leaving me feeling defeated. What once worked in my 30s no longer had any effect in my 40s. The workouts, diets, and the "eat less and move more" mentality just weren’t delivering results.
That’s when I understood: it wasn’t me that was broken; it was my approach. Once I learned to eat in a way that truly supported my body, considering my hormones and metabolism, everything changed. I shifted to a diet that aligned with my body’s needs, prioritized strength training, and established habits that fit my lifestyle.
The best part? The scale finally started to trend downward week after week, without feelings of restriction, burnout, or guilt. This transformation inspired me to create Balanced for Life, my group coaching program for women over 40 looking to stop guessing, stop starting over, and finally achieve real, lasting results.

Hi! I'm Heather!
For a long time, I was doing what so many women do… trying to “be good” during the week, eating healthy, getting workouts in when I could, and hoping it would finally click. Some weeks I felt on track, other weeks I felt completely off. I’d start over on Monday, tell myself this time will be different, and then fall right back into the same patterns by the weekend.

As I moved into my 40s, it felt even more frustrating. What used to work… just didn’t anymore. The scale felt stuck, my body felt different, and I started questioning everything, "should I be eating less? working out more? cutting carbs"? I didn’t want to feel restricted, but I also didn’t know what actually worked anymore. And honestly? I was tired of thinking about food all the time and still not seeing results.
